Unsure of what Anxiety really is? You'd be surpised how many Anxious people understand it.

The definition of Anxiety is: Intense, excessive, and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Such as driving, going to school, going to work, and so many other stressful situations. Not everyone’s stressful situation is the same. It varies for everyone and I promise you not everyone’s anxiety effects them the same. When I am anxious, I scratch my face to the point of breaking skin, I stutter my words, and I shake uncontrollably. Other symptoms are fast heartrate, rapid breathing to the point of hyperventilating, Sweating, and feeling tired. Mild anxiety triggers could be taking a test, giving a speech, or going to a new place out of your normal routine. Severe anxiety triggers are going to you everyday job, going out in public with friends, or anything really. All triggers are different for every anxious person.

Luckily, there are many coping mechanisms for Anxiety. Such as exercise, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and box breathing. Box breathing is a technique where you breath in for five seconds, breath out for five seconds, back in for five, and back out for five until your breathing and heartrate return to normal. Super simple but can be hard to apply when you are in a major panic attack. You have to try and focus all your energy into breathing not your trigger. Other ways to calm anxiety triggers are activities such as coloring, listening to music, or doing a puzzle. That way you are distracting you mind.
